-Today at the meeting, we discussed how the VE7RNA outage on Vancouver Island affected many people who could have used an alternate repeater (like VE7DJA) but didn't know how to input the proper offset and tone in their pre-programmed radio.  To be fair, different radios can be very different to program, and it's easy to forget how to do it (again) once it's done once.
-So in the spirit of emergency preparedness, I started writing and collecting quick reference guides in the [[/howto/radioprogramming |how-to section]]. Please feel free to make one for your radio and add it on the page.  Here's an example that I made for the Icom IC-207H:
