-On January 25th, 2020, SCARCS held Winter Field Day at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park.  The event was attended by VA7LEH, VA7AGG, VE7TBP, VA7FI, VA7SMI, VE7TBN, and VE7RBE.  Special guests were Justine, Caitlin, and Orson who came for lunch.

 The day was overcast and a bit chilly.  A propane fire kept us warm. A BBQ and crock pot kept us fed.  VA7FI's generator quietly kept us powered up for the day.
-Highlights were Justine getting on the air and making contacts, VE7TBN coming into his own on the air, getting a contact in Georgia, the cannon, the propane fire, and the camaraderie.
+We had a VHF/UHF radio connected to a GP3 and an HF radio connected to a 20m/40m fan dipole.  The first half of the day, we used a Kenwood TS-440S.  In the afternoon, we used an Icom 746 PRO.

 We got 13 contacts.  There were some frustrating pileups that we couldn't get through on but that is just part of the game.
