The <a href="http://www.cvars.com/index.html" class="urlextern" title="http://www.cvars.com/index.html" rel="ugc nofollow">Cowichan Valley Amateur Radio Society</a> is still in need of donations in order to upgrade the batteries and the power system for the <a href="https://scarcs.ca/nets/home#island_trunk_system" class="wikilink1" title="nets:home" data-wiki-id="nets:home">VE7AQW</a> repeaters on Mount Brenton. These repeaters have a huge footprint and when they went off last time, quite a big chunk of Vancouver Island and parts of the mainland went quiet.
