SCARCS will be operating Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) using the callsign VE7SCA on Saturday October 17th with local Scouts. The event will take place from 10:00 until the afternoon. The event will take place at Maryanne West Park in Gibsons.

On Thursday October 15th, members of SCARCS (VE7RBE, VA7FI, VA7ILO) did a Zoom presentation for the Scouts to teach about amateur radio and operating.

With COVID-19, strict social distancing will be observed at the event. Scouts will be at the site one at a time and have a half hour time slot to operate within.

We will be operating on the 20m band (14.270 - 14.290 MHz), 40m band (7.090 & 7.190 MHz, 7.180 – 7.200 MHz) and on IRLP node 9091 via VE7QNX (443.375+ T100.0).

We are looking forward to working with the Scouts.
