Through a grant, the <abbr title="Sunshine Coast Regional District">SCRD</abbr> Emergency Program was able to get a Barker & Williamson antenna for <abbr title="High Frequency">HF</abbr> communications. VA7JJR, VE7TBN, and VE7RBE took down the existing fan dipole antenna that had served the Emergency Program well for many years and put up the Barker & Williamson antenna.

<p>
In the weeks to come, the <abbr title="Emergency Communications Team">ECT</abbr> team will experiment with the antenna and make any necessary tweaks to the install.
