IC-7300 Low Receive Signal Strength
When I use JS8Call with my IC-7300, I sometimes lower the RF gain so that the program receives the right signal levels. But when I switch back to analog, I sometimes forget to move it back up. Today during the net, I found some of the signal reports were pretty asymmetrical and I wondered if something similar might be happening to other people.
So here are two ways to lower the receive signal strength on the IC-7300:
Baseline
RF/SQL
When RFG
is displayed on the screen, it means the RF/SQL
nob is too far to the left. See p. 3-10 of the manual for more details.
Attenuator
When ATT
is displayed on the screen, it means the attenuator is on. Press the P.AMP ATT
button to turn it off. See p.4-3 of the manual for more details.
