====== The BC Forest Service Radio Communication Network  ======
{{ references:scmap.png?200}} The [[https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?aid=2380 |radioreference.com]] site lists the BC Forest Fire Frequencies with very little explanation.

Fortunately, the [[https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/governments/services-for-government/information-management-technology/provincial-natural-resource-sector-radio-system |BC Provincial Natural Resource page]] links to the {{https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/british-columbians-our-governments/services-policies-for-government/information-technology/provincial-nrs-radio-system/radio_handbook.pdf |Radio Communication Field Handbook}}: a 56-page pdf that includes pretty much everything about the system.

The Network comprises of:
  * 331 mountain top repeater sites arranged into district systems
  * 100 base stations
  * 6 regional fire centres (each with multiple dispatch stations)
